Wide pore lumpy silica gel
Wide pore silica gel is milky white particles. It is divided into spherical (SG05) and lumpy (SG06). The main component is SiO2.nH2O, which is insoluble in water and inorganic acid, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid and concentrated caustic solution. Its internal structure is pore volume 0.78-1.00ml/g, pore diameter 80-100A, and specific surface area 350-500m2/g.
This product is mainly used for drying various industrial gases, such as air, oxygen, hydrogen, chlorine and organic gases, adsorbing organic acids and water from transformer oil, purifying and separating drugs, adsorbing macromolecular proteins, adsorbing multivalent harmful elements in water during industrial fermentation, moisture-proof articles, bedding materials for raising pets, and catalyst carrier. It is also the basic raw material for further processing of fine silica gel series products. Its technical indicators are shown in Table 3:
